〈Meditation — 97.10.7〉 was a solo exhibition Shin Jang-sik held at Hwarang Sagye from November 12 to 22, 1997. The exhibition's title — taken from one of the works, with the date the painting was completed inscribed in the title — marks an early stage of the meditation and practice motifs that would later coalesce into the artist's 〈Samādhi〉 (2012) and 〈On the Path〉 series.
