〈Vitality〉

The artist's first solo exhibition in Paris. Held from May 20 to 25, 2008, at the l'espace musique of the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. The subtitle 'Peinture-Gravure' (Painting and Print) reflected the dual presentation of the artist's paintings and prints, with new works produced during the artist's residency in Paris — the L'Espace Van Gogh and La montagne Sainte-Victoire series — at the center.

The works are mixed media. The exhibition transposes the 'vitality of subject' developed in the artist's 1990s 〈Vitality〉 series into a new context of plein-air work in France. The Vernissage was held on Tuesday, May 20, from 18:00 to 20:30.
