Making of 〈The World Tree〉 for the 1988 Seoul Olympics Opening Ceremony — Shin Jang-sik, Art Production Team

From 1987 to 1988, Shin Jang-sik served as Art Supervisor on the Art Production Team for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee, contributing to the artistic set design of the 1988 Seoul Olympics ceremonies. 〈The World Tree〉 was a monumental sculptural structure unveiled at the Opening Ceremony on 17 September 1988. This archive brings together the artist's own photographs from the making process and the actual ceremony, alongside the broadcast footage (Busan MBC, 19:18–20:35) in which the World Tree appears.
